DramaNow Android is a native Android application, written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, for streaming short-form vertical dramas — bingeable, episodic “micro-drama” series. Built for the fast-growing short-drama entertainment market, it pairs a fully native mobile UI with a production-ready Laravel admin panel that owns the catalogue, the coin economy and the subscription entitlements.

The app is organized around five main tabs — Discover, Shorts, Rewards, My List, and Profile — giving users a complete journey from finding a series to binge-watching it episode by episode. Browse a curated, multi-genre catalog of short dramas, tap into a vertical full-screen episode player built on Media3 ExoPlayer, and keep watching where you left off. A built-in coin economy, daily check-ins, rewarded ads, and a VIP subscription unlock premium episodes and remove ads.

Backend included

The package ships the Laravel admin panel and mobile API (short-drama-admin-panel): a PHP/Laravel application with an admin dashboard, database migrations and seeders, a demo catalogue, and the /api/v1/ REST API the app talks to. It also ships a multi-language streaming website. If you already run on classic PHP/MySQL hosting, everything you need is in the box.
